The Conciliation Project (TCP) is a nonprofit, creative social justice organization dedicated to freeing communities, families and individuals from bigotry’s damaging legacies. Since 2001, TCP has helped audiences throughout the United States relearn and reevaluate the history and future of racism, sexism and oppression in our country. Rather than lecturing or presenting the typical, tired approach to “diversity training,” we use theatre arts to inform, inspire and include everyone in honest dialogues that can drive meaningful change.

The only way we survive and grow is by community citizens such as yourself getting involved. There are many ways. Here are just a few.

Come to a board meeting!

The Conciliation Project Executive Committee meets every Friday to discuss weekly needs, important upcoming dates and events. Contact Dr. Archana Pathak, President, to find out the time and place of an upcoming meeting. Our full board meets 4 times a year as well as participates in an annual meeting. That’s all, you say? Contact Dr. Archana Pathak for information on how to join the board.

Book a show!

All of our shows are versatile and adaptable to the needs of your community. We perform our shows from full-length to abbreviated. We also engage dialogue using a method we call History Live that brings abbreviated versions of scenes, monologues, and songs from a range of our full-length plays in one space. To book a show contact Andrienne Wilson, Community Outreach Coordinator, at andrienne@theconciliationproject.org or call 804-477-6453. Prices negotiable.

Plays in the repertoire:
uncle tom: de-constructed
Genocide Trail: a holocaust un-spoken
Yellow Fever: the internment

Stolen Land: border crossings
Global SeXXXism: un-wrapped
P.I.C: the Prison Industrial Complex

Spades: a book without a cover
The Bottom Line: road to recovery
